Students at GEIS have the opportunity to be supported in their learning and educational experiences through the use of the following facilities:
We have an all-weather artificial turf for football, hockey, netball and tennis. This is regularly used for fitness and physical education programmes.
Our Auditorium provides a magnificent venue to support the creative talents of our outstanding dance, drama and music students. This facility is available for school and community events and is well equipped with state-of-the-art sound and lighting.
GEIS has a full size gymnasium. This fantastic facility is available for school and community use. It has three volleyball courts, a netball court, a basketball court and badminton courts. Students use this for daily fitness and physical education programmes. The gym and turf allow us to provide physical education all year round, unhindered by weather.
Our Library is a well-resourced facility, providing our students with a spacious, comfortable environment where they can relax, research and read.
Our performing arts block includes a dance/drama studio, music room and practice rooms for private tuition.
GEIS has a purpose-built lab that enables all students the opportunity to participate in authentic, practical science lessons.
We have a 25 metre heated pool, which provides all students with an opportunity to participate in swimming programmes during Terms 1 and 4. The pool is also well used for lunch-time swimming and for our Inter Mini-School swimming competitions.
Our television studio is well equipped to offer all students the opportunity to film and edit when participating in the Video Production specialist subject. The studio is also used by students producing our daily television show, Cactus, which is broadcast live to classrooms each morning.
This purpose-built block houses our Design, Food, Hard Materials and Enviro Technology Rooms as well the Art Room and Television Studio.
Our Tuck Shop is open from 8.30am daily and provides a variety of nutritious snacks, meals and lunches
